Description

A 13 panel panorama taken with a modified Canon 6D with a Sigma 14mm lens, f/1.8, ISO 6400. Each frame was 25 seconds long. Stitched together in PTGui.
So much red and green air glow, it competed with the Zodiacal light and small and large Magellanic Clouds. I prefer the whole 'circle' of the sky as opposed to rectilinear panos - less distortion. Imagine looking up and seeing the whole sky with the Milky Way overhead stretching from horizon to horizon. It was incredible! That's bright Jupiter at opposition lower left and Saturn above at 1 o'clock. Taken in the Atacama Desert in Chile last September, 2022.
